Book the visit, win the quote, get paid
Customers book a site visit against the technician who can actually make it, every quote sits on a pipeline until it is won or lost, and the GST invoice goes out the day the job is done — for plumbers, electricians, AC and appliance repair, painters and cleaning teams.
Where it hurts
Where the money leaks between jobs
- Visits are booked by phone while you are under a sink, and two customers get the same slot.
- Quotes go out from a phone and nobody follows up the ones that went quiet.
- The invoice waits for the weekend, and the parts receipt is somewhere in the van.

Why Vin-G
Built for how trades actually work
No double-booked vans
Customers only see slots the right technician can reach.
Quotes that get followed up
The one waiting ten days has a next action, not a forgotten message.
Invoice from the job
A GST invoice and a payment link the same day, not at the weekend.
Know the margin
Parts, fuel and subcontractor costs logged against what you invoiced.
A week on the tools
A trades business runs on visits. The plumber, the electrician and the AC technician each have their own day, and a customer who books a sixty-minute site visit should only be offered a slot that one of them can actually reach. Availability is set per technician, so the booking page stops offering Tuesday afternoon to three people when only one van is free.
The visit is rarely the whole job. It ends in a quote, and the quote is where most of the money is lost: written on the back of a card, sent from a phone, and never followed up. Each quote sits on a pipeline against the customer, with notes from the visit and a next action, so the one that has been "thinking about it" for ten days is visible on Monday.
When the work is done, the invoice should go the same day. A GST invoice with the right CGST, SGST or IGST split, a PDF the customer can forward to their society or landlord, and an online payment link. Parts, fuel and subcontractor bills are logged as expenses with the receipt attached, so the margin on a job is a number rather than a guess.
In practice
Monday morning
Three site visits were booked online over the weekend, each against the technician whose hours fit; the visit notes from the last job at the same address are on the customer record.
After the site visit
The quote for a bathroom rewire moves to "Sent" on the pipeline with a follow-up in five days; when the customer says yes, it moves to "Won" and the job is booked from the same record.
Job done
The GST invoice goes out as a PDF with an Instamojo payment link before the van leaves; the parts receipt is logged in Finance against the month's costs.
Common questions
Can each technician have their own calendar?
Yes. Availability, services and visit durations are set per staff member, so the public booking page only offers a slot the right technician can take.
Can I track quotes until the customer says yes?
Yes. Quotes sit on a drag-and-drop pipeline in the CRM with notes and next actions, so the ones waiting on a decision stay visible until they are won or lost.
Can I send a GST invoice from the job?
Yes. Invoices carry GSTIN, HSN/SAC and the CGST, SGST or IGST split, are sent as a PDF and can be paid online through Instamojo.
Can I log parts and fuel against my costs?
Yes. Log expenses with categories and the receipt attached, import a bank CSV, and export a CSV for your accountant.
Does Vin-G dispatch jobs or track stock in the van?
No. Vin-G covers bookings, customer records, quotes, invoices, expenses and reports. Route planning, live dispatch and van stock are out of scope.
A note on scope: Vin-G is not a field-service dispatch or van-stock system. It covers visit bookings, customer records, quotes on a pipeline, GST invoices, expenses and the business numbers.
