Build on Vin-G: API keys and webhooks

What moves

• API (in): read customers, bookings and invoices; create customers (matched by email or phone, safe to retry with an Idempotency-Key header)
• Webhooks (out): customer.*, booking.*, invoice.*, order.*, form.submitted and deal.* events, plus a webhook.ping test

How it works

1. Create an API key in Settings → Developers → API keys and choose its scopes: customers:read, customers:write, bookings:read, invoices:read. The key is shown once; Vin-G stores only a hash.
2. Send it as an X-Api-Key header or as Authorization: Bearer.
3. Add a webhook endpoint in Settings → Developers → Webhooks and pick event types. The signing secret is shown once and can be rotated.
4. Each delivery is signed with HMAC; failed deliveries retry with backoff (1 min, 5 min, 15 min, 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 6 h), and the last 50 deliveries are listed.

Limits

• Up to 8 attempts per delivery; an endpoint that keeps failing is turned off and the owner is told.
• The public API covers customers, bookings and invoices today.

Where the data goes

• Vin-G CRM: Contacts, a deal pipeline, lead capture forms and lead-ad import.
• Vin-G Bookings: A public booking page with services, staff availability and reminders.
• Vin-G Invoices: GST invoices with CGST/SGST/IGST, PDF, reminders and online payment.
• Vin-G Store: An online storefront with cart, checkout and stock tracking.
• Vin-G Forms: Drag-and-drop forms with industry templates, consent checks and share links.
